Mejillones Electrochlorination Plant

Working for Cumberland Electrochemical developing an all Siemens control solution for an Electrochlorination plant In Chile. The plant is controlled by an S7-300 PLC using traditional rack and I/O layout, and a touchscreen HMI to allow operator and engineer interface

The control system pumps seawater through four electrolyser streams, with a fifth stream available as a standby. The seawater is turned into chlorine using high doses of DC current provided by the Transformer/Rectifier Units.  This chlorine solution is then dosed at the intake of the power station.
